Travel: Scottish History Trip with Conley & Silvers

The mysteries of the neolithic, Robert the Bruce, the Jacobites and the battlefields of Culloden, the high Victorian industrial revolution, Scottish independence and North Sea Oil, with a bit of whiskey, golf and highland luxury thrown in – I’m going to be spending my vacation August/September 2019 accompanying Dana Conley of Conley & Silvers on one of her fabulous, tailor-made trips. This time we are headed to Edinburgh, the islands and the highlands and I am looking forward to a deep dive into Scottish history and culture.

I’ll be presenting at the Edinburgh Book Festival, probably Crashed-related. We will secure guest tickets for those interested. While we are in Edinburgh for 4 nights during the peak of the Fringe Festival, our small group will enjoy a private dinner in Edinburgh Castle along with VIP seats at the Military Tattoo including drinks with the show producer.  Other highlights include a private visit to the Palace of the Holyroodhouse, taking tea with Lady Mansfield at Scone Palace, 4 nights at the glorious playground of Gleneagles, 3 nights enjoying the nature and whiskey of the Isle of Skye, and lots of castle and battlefield visits along the way.

If you can spare two weeks to enjoy history and current affairs, good conversation, fine food and drink, plus some very nice hotels, this is the ticket! Interested? C&S has an exclusive invite-only list for viewing their trip itineraries, so reach me by way of the contact form on my website and I’ll give you the passcode to the Conley & Silvers full trip brochure with pricing.

C&S has a short brochure up for general public viewing at:  http://www.conleyandsilvers.com/scotland-soiree-brochure.  It’s definitely worth a look!
